The Lakeland Brood Fish Programme has been operating since 1990.
Brood selection, feed quality and health status are vital parameters in the production of a superior egg, smolt and salmon. The selected families are monitored for genetic traits by Akvaforsk in Norway with the University of Aquaculture, Stirling, providing a Veterinary Health Plan.
